When children can’t be with their parents, a grandparent’s home can provide stability and comfort.

Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition offers services to help Grandparents feel supported in bringing up their grandchildren, as well as others who are in a Kinship role.

We know this can be a big change in the lives of everyone involved, so we strive to do our best to make sure information and resources are available to those who need them.

We offer support groups and confidential conversations, whether in-person, by phone, or email, to discuss the challenges a Grandparent/Kin-parent may be facing.

For Service Providers, we facilitate the Grandparents Task Force to discuss strategies and best practices for working with Grand and Kin families.

The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren website, massgrg.com, can be a good place to find information about programming across the state.

The purpose of the Commission is to be a resource to the Commonwealth on issues affecting grandparents raising grandchildren, and relatives, other than parents, raising kin.

On their website, you can find a regularly updated list of all the support groups in Massachusetts, as well as a number of “Tip Sheets” relating to Grandparenting and Kinship care.

The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren has collaborated with several state agencies to compile a resource guide specifically for grandparents and other kin who are raising children in the Commonwealth.
